THE VIPER: What A Cool Name.
If we were thinking of a name for a camera, we’d have a hard time coming up with something more awesome than “Viper.” (Way better than naming your camera after a color.) The Viper shares its name with the following:

• a poisonous snake
• a fighter jet
• a code-name for a unit of G.I. Joe soldiers
• a sportscar

And if you think the name is cool, you should hear about the actual camera itself. First off, it’s an ultra-High-Definition digital film camera that shoots to hard drives instead of film or tape. These hard drives are small and portable, and they allow instant playback, so you can view or edit your footage easily, immediately, and at full-resolution. The Viper’s image quality is so superior, in fact, that its footage can be transferred to 35mm film or played in IMAX format.

The Viper’s green screen compositing abilities are unrivaled in a High-Definition camera. And its low-light capabilities allow shooting in near total darkness. How G.I. Joe is that? Oh, did we mention that this is the same camera used to film Oscar-winner The Curious Case of Benjamin Button? As well as Zodiac and Collateral?

To recap: snakes, jets, cars, and G.I. Joe. Pretty much the coolest camera we’ve ever seen.

With that said, we’re also friendly and comfortable with many other HD cameras currently on the market. If we had to pick our second and third and fourth favorites, we’d say Canon’s 5D Mark II, Sony’s XDCAM EX3 and the Phantom.

FINAL CUT PRO: Early Adopters
We tend to be early adopters who happen to adopt the right thing. Our editors have been on Final Cut Pro since its first version. Our five FCP edit suites are designed to provide cost-effective post-production solutions for working in any of the large variety of codecs and formats currently available. Whether you’re on a Mac or PC, an iPad or a Smart Phone, we can handle what you’ve got.

BLU-RAY: Booyah
We authored Kansas City’s first Blu-ray disc in early 2008, just nine days after the industry announced Blu-ray to be the format of choice for High-Definition video playback technology. In fact, we were one of the first facilities in the entire Midwest to utilize and institute Blu-ray. We’ve been shooting HD since the early-90s and we’re excited to finally deliver products that reflect the quality of their raw footage. Clients like Black & Veatch, John Deere, Westlake Hardware, Seaboard Foods, and many others are utilizing Blu-ray for their projects.

WEB: Keeping up with the Joneses
Nowadays, everyone is online. Even, unfortunately, our moms. With the increasing popularity of social networking, our clients are utilizing You Tube, Facebook and Vimeo as additional, and effective, venues for their projects. We’re skilled in all types of video compression and can insure that our clients’ web videos will look as stellar online as they do in the edit suite.
